Tony Russell-Rose

Tony Russell-Rose Tony Russell-Rose is currently director of UXLabs, a UX research and design consultancy specialising in complex search and information access applications. Previously Tony has led R&D teams at Canon, Reuters, HP Labs and BT Labs, and seems to work for pretty much any organisation that has 'Labs' in the title. He has a PhD in HCI and is currently writing a book on search experience design.

Max L. Wilson

Max, and may key related conferences and journals Wilson Max is a lecturer in Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Nottingham, has had work published at several of the prior HCIR workshops, and at key related conferences and journals. Max holds an MEng and PhD in Human-Computer Interaction from the University of Southampton, and publishes widely in the space between HCI and Information Science.

James Kalbach

James Kalbach James works as Principal UX Strategist for USEEDS°, a leading a leading design and innovation consultancy in Germany. James holds a degree in library and information science from Rutgers University, and published his book on Designing Web Navigation (O'Reilly) in 2007.

Birger Larsen

Birger Larsen Birger Larsen is an Associate Professor at the Royal School of Library and Information Science in Denmark. Birger received his PhD in Library and Information Science from the very same school, and publishes widely with a systems focus on Interactive Information Retrieval.
